About All Weather Search
Open a new tab and see what the sky is doing. AllWeatherSearch turns new tab page into a live view of your local weather: the scene behind the page follows real conditions — a clear morning, rolling fog, rain, snow, a thunderstorm, sunset, or a starry night.
Conditions at a glance The temperature, what it feels like, today's high and low, and a short line on how the day is shaping up, set in large type you can read before you start typing.
More when you want it Open the forecast drawer for: • Today, hour by hour — temperature and rain chance for the next 12 hours • The week ahead — daily highs, lows and conditions • Details — wind, humidity and precipitation • Alerts — active weather warnings for your area • Cities — keep an eye on other places: home, work, family • Notes — a small notepad saved to your browser profile
Make it yours Switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius with one click, turn the moving sky off if you prefer a still page, and keep a row of favorite sites below the search box. With your permission, a Suggestions row shows the sites you've recently had open so you can jump back in.
Search from the same page The search box at the top returns Yahoo-powered web results. With website access turned on, searches you type into Safari's address bar are also routed through AllWeatherSearch and shown with the same Yahoo-powered results. To stop this, change AllWeatherSearch's website access in Safari Settings › Extensions, or turn the extension off.
Getting started
- Open AllWeatherSearch and follow the two-step setup.
- Turn the extension on in Safari Settings › Extensions.
- Open a new tab, enter your city or zip code — or let Safari share your location — and your forecast appears.
Your data To fetch your forecast, your city, zip code or, only if you choose it, your precise location is sent to the AllWeatherSearch weather service. Searches go to our search partner along with an anonymous install identifier so results can be returned. The titles and addresses of your open tabs, used for the Suggestions row, are kept in your browser profile and are not sent to us. No account is needed.
