You can keep everyday thoughts, milestones, and memories together rather than scattered across notes and photos. Day One lets you save text, audio, photos, and video in your journal, with end-to-end encryption and a passcode or Touch ID to protect your entries. Automatic backups help protect what you’ve written.
When you’re unsure what to write, daily prompts give you a starting point. You can set reminders to make journaling a routine and use templates to spend less time structuring each entry. Later, you can find memories through tags, favorites, search filters, or a map, and revisit earlier entries with On This Day.
You can export your journal as PDF, plain text, or JSON to keep a copy outside the app. Unlimited text entries are free; unlimited photos and videos, multiple journals, and syncing require Premium.
