About FEA Lab

FEA Lab is a professional finite element analysis workbench for macOS. Designed for aerospace, mechanical, civil, and biomedical engineers — plus researchers and students — it pairs a complete end-to-end workflow (geometry, mesh, materials, boundary conditions, solve, post-process) with GPU-accelerated compute: Metal GPU preconditioned conjugate gradient, and on-device neural reduced-order modelling.

Every click that used to invoke a cloud service or a slow pure-JS fallback now dispatches to a Metal or Accelerate kernel on your Mac. No account, no telemetry, no network round-trips — just local computation at full hardware speed.

FEA Lab covers 20 analysis types: linear static, modal, transient dynamic, nonlinear static, thermal steady-state, thermal transient, coupled thermo-mechanical, buckling, harmonic response, random vibration, fatigue (stress-life), topology optimisation, shape optimisation, fluid-structure interaction, explicit dynamics, creep, contact, fracture mechanics, multibody dynamics, and electromagnetics.

All 20 types are configurable from the Solver Hub — choose between direct LU, iterative GMRES or Conjugate Gradient solvers, select a preconditioner, set convergence tolerances, toggle Metal GPU acceleration, and hit Run.

NAFEMS benchmark suite built-in: run the T1–T6 thermal and LE1–LE10 linear-elastic benchmarks in one click and verify against published reference values.

Requirements: macOS 14 or later, 8 GB RAM recommended.
