Google Shopping Deals
Google Shopping Deals is a Safari extension for your Mac that helps you find coupons, check price history, and get price alerts while shopping online.
by Google
What you get
You get discount recommendations and price context while you shop.
You can find coupons and discount recommendations while browsing shopping websites in Safari on your Mac. Google Shopping Deals brings those suggestions into your browser, so you can spot potential savings without separately searching for coupon codes. You can check recommendations near Safari’s search bar as you browse.
You also get price history and alerts to help you decide whether to buy now or wait. That gives you more context than a discount label alone when you’re considering a purchase.
There’s a privacy trade-off: installing the extension opts you into sharing information about your browsing and interactions with ads to help improve Google products. You can review what the extension collects and delete your data. If you want to stop sharing information, you can sign out or uninstall the extension.
-
Find potential savings
You see recommended coupons and discounts while browsing, reducing the need to search for codes separately.
-
Decide when to buy
You can use price history and alerts to judge whether to purchase now or wait.
-
Understand the data trade-off
You can review collected data, delete it, and stop sharing by signing out or uninstalling.
Best for
- You regularly shop online in Safari on your Mac
- You want price context before making a purchase
- You prefer coupon suggestions while browsing
Skip it if
You don’t need it if you rarely shop in Safari or don’t want to share browsing and ad-interaction data with Google.
