With iDownloader, you can spend less time waiting for files and restarting interrupted transfers. It downloads several parts of a file at once to make better use of your available bandwidth. If your connection drops, it keeps retrying; on supported servers, you can resume from where you stopped rather than download everything again.
You can start a download by dragging in a link, using a link copied from your browser, or starting it through a browser extension. When now is not a convenient time, you can schedule the transfer for later. You can also pause or cancel downloads on supported servers.
When you have several transfers to manage, you can filter them by file type to narrow the list. You can download over HTTP or HTTPS, including from sources that require authentication.
