You get a Mac app for communicating through your team’s Mattermost server. You can keep discussions separated into focused channels, pin important messages, and share documents, PDFs, and images alongside the conversations they support. That helps you keep incident response, release coordination, and everyday questions in their own discussions.
For repeatable work, you can follow checklist-based playbooks so your team has a consistent process to work through. The Mattermost platform also offers Copilot for drafting messages and summarizing long threads, plus integrations with tools such as Jira, GitLab, and Zoom.
You’ll need access to a Mattermost server before you can collaborate; installing the desktop app alone isn’t enough. This client requires Mattermost Server v11.7.0 or later. If your organization uses an older version, you may encounter connection problems or unexpected behavior.
