About Sonant
Sonant is a menu bar music player for Mac that puts Apple Music and Spotify in a little glass-style pill. It shows the album art, track title, playback buttons, and a live visualizer, so you can see and control your music without opening a window. Click to play or pause, skip with the arrows, or drag along the pill to scrub. Hold it for a Now Playing preview with big artwork and synced lyrics. It's native Swift, stays out of your Dock, and collects zero data about you.
Menu bar music controller
Play, pause, skip, and scrub right from the pill. Your music stays one click away, whatever app you're in.
Now Playing preview with synced lyrics
Hold the pill to see big artwork and lyrics that follow the song. Handy for karaoke, or for finally learning what they're actually singing.
Right-click extras
Copy a song link, jump to Music or Spotify, set a sleep timer, or check your listening stats. All of it lives in one menu.
Customizable pill
Show or hide the artwork, visualizer, buttons, and title. Write your own title format with the song title, artist, and album. Let the pill grow to fit long names.
Desktop widget
Prefer your desktop? Turn on a floating version of the pill that also shows the current lyric line.
Power Mode and privacy
Power Mode dials the animations down and follows macOS Low Power Mode on its own. Sonant never collects data about you. Apart from Setapp's own framework, its only network requests are for artwork and lyrics.
