TextNow
TextNow gives you a phone number on your Mac for texting, picture messaging, and voice calls. It suits you if you regularly contact people in the US and Canada.
by TextNow, Inc.
What you get
You get a phone number for free texting and calling on your Mac.
You get a 10-digit US or Canadian phone number you can use from your Mac, plus voicemail. You can send unlimited texts and picture messages, and make unlimited voice calls to phone numbers in the US and Canada without monthly or yearly fees. That gives you a way to keep in touch from your computer rather than reaching for your phone.
You’ll see ads in exchange for the free service. If you want to remove them, you can purchase a premium subscription through the iOS app. For calls outside the US and Canada, you can add money to your account or earn calling credit by completing offers. International calling is available at low rates, rather than being included in the unlimited free calls.
