WeChat is a free messaging and calling app you can use on your Mac, suited to staying in touch with people who use WeChat on their smartphones.
by Tencent Mobile International Limited
What you get
You can message and call your WeChat contacts from your Mac.
WeChat gives you a desktop option for keeping in touch with people through messages and calls. If you spend much of your day at your Mac, you can use WeChat there rather than reach for your smartphone whenever you want to contact someone. You get a way to communicate from the computer you’re already using.
It’s most useful when the people you want to reach already use WeChat. With the app available on smartphones as well as desktop, you can choose your Mac as the place to write a message or make a call. The app is free.
