What you get

Remember small tasks and take regular breaks while you work.

You get a place to put the small commitments you might otherwise forget: calling Mum, watering a plant, or stepping away from your screen. Nonna brings them back at the time you choose, using a grandma character at your Mac’s notch. If your display has no notch, you’ll see her at the top center instead.

You can capture a reminder by clicking her speech bubble and typing an everyday phrase such as “water the basil tomorrow at noon.” You check the title and time before saving, and your reminders stay on your Mac. For recurring routines, you can set intervals for water, walking, eye breaks, or habits of your own.

You decide how to respond when a nudge arrives: finish the task, snooze it for 5–60 minutes, or pause Nonna for an hour. You can also hold automatic nudges during your chosen Focus modes, so reminders don’t interrupt time you’ve set aside to concentrate.
