Nunus
Nunus helps you spot unfamiliar headlines on supported news homepages by graying out ones you have already seen. It suits you if you revisit the same news sites throughout the day.
by Allen Cypher
What you get
You can spot new headlines without rescanning the ones you’ve already seen.
When you return to a news homepage, you can focus on stories you haven’t seen rather than scan the same headlines again. Nunus dims headlines that have already appeared on your screen, leaving unfamiliar ones easier to pick out. You can also press Option–Down Arrow to jump past old headlines.
You don’t have to open an article for its headline to count as seen: a few seconds on your screen is enough. Repeat appearances of the same story are dimmed too, including headlines with revised wording that still link to the same article. That helps you avoid revisiting recycled stories just because they appear in a different spot.
You can use Nunus on the homepages of The New York Times, Google News, The Guardian, Ground News, and The Epoch Times. Its usefulness depends on whether those are sites you regularly check.
