What you get
You can solve equations and see how your mathematics behaves.
You get a place to work through calculations ranging from school algebra to advanced calculus, even without an internet connection. You can solve linear equations, factor polynomials, and calculate limits and integrals on your Mac rather than reaching for a separate graphing calculator.
When an expression is easier to understand visually, you can turn it into a 2D or 3D plot. Animated plots let you see how relationships change over time, while CSV import lets you bring in data you already have. You can export or print plots to use outside the app.
For physics work, you can build formulas with ready-made units and constants, and enter matrices in a visual editor. A dedicated math keyboard helps you find the symbols you need. If your calculation needs a custom function, you can define one using C-like scripting, including conditions, loops, and recursion.
