RangeTrace

Dexcom glucose, trends, alerts, and 24-hour time in range

If you use Dexcom Share, RangeTrace gives you a Mac companion for checking glucose readings, reviewing recent patterns, and receiving optional alerts.

by SKJ APPS

What you get

You can keep your Dexcom glucose readings visible while using your Mac.

You can check your latest Dexcom Share glucose reading beside your Mac’s clock without switching away from your work. Choose whether you also see a direction arrow, the change from your previous reading, or a small graph. You can display readings in mg/dL or mmol/L.

When you want more context, open the popover to review recent movement and your last 24 hours: time in range, percentages spent low or high, average glucose, and estimated GMI. You can also retrieve the latest reading saved on your Mac through Apple Shortcuts or Spotlight.

You decide whether your Mac alerts you to low or high readings, rapid changes, signal loss, or a predicted urgent low. Quiet hours, snoozing, sounds, and repeat settings let you control interruptions. Your readings and preferences stay on your Mac, your Dexcom credentials go in macOS Keychain, and you don’t need a separate RangeTrace account.

  • Check without switching apps

You can glance at your latest glucose reading and chosen trend details in the menu bar.

  • Understand your recent patterns

You can review 24-hour time in range, low and high percentages, average glucose, and estimated GMI.

  • Choose when alerts interrupt

You can enable glucose and signal-loss alerts, then adjust quiet hours, snoozing, sounds, and repeats.

  • Retrieve readings another way

You can use Apple Shortcuts or Spotlight to check the latest glucose reading saved on your Mac.

  • Avoid another data account

You keep readings and preferences on your Mac, with credentials in Keychain and no separate RangeTrace account, advertising, or tracking.

Best for

  • You use Dexcom Share and spend much of your day on a Mac

Skip it if

You don’t need it if you don’t use Dexcom Share or don’t want glucose readings on your Mac.
