What you get

Save conversations you forgot to record before the audio is overwritten.

Backtrack gives you a way to revisit a conversation even if you didn’t press record at the start. While it’s running and recording on your Mac, you can return to recent audio and save the part you need—whether that’s a whole meeting or the last five minutes covering next steps.

You get a rolling hour of audio by default, with the option to extend that window to five hours. After a discussion, you pull down from the menu bar icon to choose how far back to save. You can listen again to check an assignment, recover an idea, or confirm what was said. Unsaved audio is overwritten as the recording window moves forward.

Your recordings stay locally on your Mac. You can pause recording when you don’t want a conversation captured, resume it afterward, and choose which audio input to use.

    You can listen again to confirm next steps or recover details you missed during a discussion.
