What you get
You can understand unfamiliar words and keep them for later practice.
Eudic helps you make sense of unfamiliar English while you read on your Mac. You can look up words under your pointer or select text in other apps, including PDFs, to get a definition or translation. If you are unsure of a spelling, approximate search and spelling correction help you find the word you meant.
You get English–Chinese entries, English definitions from WordNet, synonyms, antonyms, and specialist vocabulary covering fields such as medicine, economics, and engineering. You can check example sentences without an internet connection, translate articles or short passages, and hear words or whole sentences read aloud.
You can turn new vocabulary into material to revisit by saving words, adding notes and highlights, and reviewing flashcards. The paid version lets you sync learning records with the mobile version. This edition does not support installing third-party dictionary collections; you would need the enhanced edition for that.
