What you get
You can track rain, check forecasts, and read alerts for your saved places.
You get current conditions, upcoming forecasts, animated radar, and National Weather Service notices in one app, without needing an account. Save the places you care about or allow access to your current location, then choose whether you see today’s weather or the radar map first.
On the map, you can follow rain movement without losing sight of your selected location beneath the overlays. Storm Desk lets you explore additional weather layers. You can also see source names and observation times, with forecasts and modeled estimates distinguished from measured conditions. Air-quality readings and nearby river-gauge information give you more context where available.
You can read watches, warnings, and advisories for your places, but you won’t receive background cloud notifications while the app is closed in this release. For life-threatening weather, rely on Wireless Emergency Alerts, NOAA Weather Radio, and local officials rather than treating this app as your emergency-alert source.
