Improved Tube
Improved Tube is a browser extension for adjusting YouTube viewing and browsing. If you watch YouTube regularly, you can reduce distractions and set playback defaults to suit you.
by Alexander Yang
What you get
You get YouTube with fewer distractions and less repeated setup.
Improved Tube gives you more control over what you see and how videos play on YouTube. You can hide comments, related videos, live chat, and other page elements, then block videos by channel, tag, or category. You can also turn off autoplay so one video doesn't automatically lead into another.
You spend less time adjusting each video when you set your preferred playback speed, volume, quality, and player size. You can watch in a full-window view or picture-in-picture, keep descriptions and transcripts expanded, and assign shortcuts to actions you use often. Many settings take effect without reloading the page.
For closer viewing, you can step through a video frame by frame or save a frame as an image. Scheduled dark mode, page dimming, and a blue-light filter let you adjust the viewing environment for evening use.
