Archiver gives you a way to reduce the space your files take up and retrieve content from several archive formats, including ZIP, RAR, StuffIt, and 7z. You can preview files inside an archive with Quick Look, then extract just the items you need rather than unpacking everything.

When you’re putting files away or preparing them to send, you can choose the archive format and compression level. You can also encrypt archives and add passwords to protect private content. For files too large to send as one piece, you can split them into smaller parts and combine them again later.

You can choose where extracted files go and have the original archives deleted after unpacking, so you don’t have to clear out those leftover copies yourself.
