What you get
You can manage your Dropbox files without opening a browser.
Documents for Dropbox gives you a way to handle everyday Dropbox tasks from a Mac app rather than a browser. You can access your stored files, create folders, and delete files or folders you no longer need. If Dropbox is where you keep your working documents, you can handle those routine tasks in one place.
You can pin important folders to the sidebar, so you spend less time navigating back to the same locations. When you need to exchange files, you can upload documents from your Mac, download files from Dropbox, or share them with others through the app.
You can also create Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files online. This is a third-party app, not an official Dropbox product, so you're getting an alternative way to work with your Dropbox account rather than a separate storage service.
