What you get

Read Markdown as formatted documents without changing your editor.

With MacMD Viewer, you can read README files and Markdown documents from Claude or GPT as formatted pages rather than raw syntax. You get aligned tables, syntax-highlighted code, and rendered Mermaid diagrams, so you can follow the content without mentally decoding its markup.

You can also select a .md file in Finder and press Space to see a rendered Quick Look preview. When you’re writing, you can keep using your existing editor: save your changes, and the viewer updates automatically without a manual refresh. MacMD Viewer handles the reading and previewing, not the editing.

For longer documents, you can jump between sections using a table-of-contents sidebar that tracks your place as you scroll. You can choose from seven code-highlighting themes and set a light or dark appearance independently of your Mac’s system setting.
