With MarsEdit, you can draft, format, and prepare blog posts on your Mac without keeping a browser editor open or staying connected. You can attach images and files while offline, then publish from the same app once you’re back online. Your attachments upload when you publish.
You can work in Rich Text or Plain Text, including writing Markdown, and check a preview before your post goes live. If you prefer visual formatting, your Rich Text is converted to HTML automatically. For WordPress posts, you can also set featured images and customize post formats without returning to the browser.
You keep local drafts in an accessible folder and can download your published-post history from supported services. When research in Safari gives you an idea, you can use the extension to move from browsing into drafting a post.
