What you get

You can turn complex drafts into structured papers ready to share.

You can write a paper or thesis with its supporting material in place: footnotes, bibliography, tables, images, and cross-references. Headings and a table of contents help you organize the document, while quick chapter navigation lets you move between sections without scrolling through the whole draft.

You can format text using keyboard shortcuts rather than repeatedly reaching for your mouse or trackpad. If you already know Markdown, some commands will feel familiar. Code sections and hyperlinks also let you include technical material and sources alongside your prose.

When you're ready to share your work, you can export it as PDF, HTML, or LaTeX, or publish directly to Ghost. You can also save a backup of your writing on your hard drive, giving you a separate copy to keep.

From the developer

Footnotes, headlines, table of contents, bibliography, complex equations, and other elements of a academic text can be a pain to format and navigate. What’s more, these articles and papers tend to also be large and lag mercilessly as you scroll back and forth between your sections.
