What you get

See your public IP and its location without interrupting your work.

MenuBar IP gives you a quick way to check your Mac’s current public IP address without opening network settings or running commands. You can read it directly in the menu bar, alongside a country flag, so routine checks take only a glance.

If you frequently switch VPN connections, you can check whether your public IP and its associated location have changed. You also get a map view of the location linked to that address, giving you more context than the IP number alone. This shows your IP’s reported location, rather than your precise physical whereabouts.

You can leave the app running in the background with minimal resource use. It suits you if you regularly need this information within reach; it gives you visibility into your public IP, not a VPN connection or a tool that repairs network problems.
