by Glacier Peak Studios LLC
What you get
You can plan your backcountry route on Mac and follow it on iOS.
Topo Maps+ gives you room to work out your backcountry trip on your Mac before you leave. You can compare topographic maps with satellite imagery, check elevation profiles, and use elevation or slope overlays to understand the terrain along your route. Add waypoints for places you want to find again, then print or share your custom maps and routes.
When you’re ready to go, you can sync your trip details to the iOS companion app. Its offline trail tools let you see your location, record where you’ve walked, check your progress, and get alerts as you approach a waypoint, trail, or region. You can also attach photos to locations on the map.
You get basic tools such as waypoints, elevation profiles, and data sharing for free. Access to high-resolution maps, premium maps, and advanced features requires an annual or quarterly Pro subscription.
