SmoothDroid
Move Android files by USB
SmoothDroid is a USB file transfer app for you if you use a Mac and Android phone and want to move files without cloud storage.
by Rafael Goncalez
What you get
Move your files between Mac and Android without using the cloud.
You can bring photos and videos from your Android phone onto your Mac, or send music, downloads, APKs, and other files the other way. SmoothDroid transfers them directly over USB, so you don’t need to upload them to a cloud account first. You can copy entire folders rather than selecting files individually.
You see your Mac’s files alongside your Android storage, making it easier to choose what goes where. Drag items between the two sides or use copy and paste. You can also create folders, rename files, and delete unwanted items on your phone from the same window.
You can check which files are moving, how far transfers have progressed, and whether anything needs attention. If another Mac app interferes with the USB/MTP connection, you get guidance for resolving common blockers instead of repeatedly retrying without a clear next step.
