What you get

You can manage Obsidian tasks without moving them out of your notes.

You get a dedicated Mac app for the to-dos already stored in your Obsidian vault, without copying them into a separate database. You can manage checkboxes alongside due dates, scheduled dates, priorities, recurring tasks, and custom statuses from the Tasks plugin. Your changes go back into the original Markdown files, so your notes remain the place where your tasks live.

When a new task comes to mind, you can capture it from any app with a global hotkey or the menu-bar composer and send it into today’s daily note. You can also reorder tasks or drag them between files without manually editing the underlying notes.

You keep your existing Obsidian setup and avoid creating another account. Your tasks stay local in your vault, with no telemetry or analytics, and conflict detection helps protect changes when Obsidian saves a file at the same time.
