Yaps
Replace a stack of AI apps with one unlimited, private, on-device toolbox.
Yaps gives you dictation, transcription, meeting summaries, and searchable notes in one Mac app, with local AI processing for work you prefer not to upload.

What you get
Turn your speech and recordings into usable text without uploading them.
With Yaps, you can speak into almost any Mac app and get text with punctuation, grammar, and formatting tidied up. You download the models you need, then process your words and recordings on your Mac without per-minute or per-task limits.
You can turn interviews, voice notes, podcasts, and videos into editable transcripts with word-level timing, then export text or subtitles. For meetings, you get speaker identification and summaries that pull out decisions, questions, and action items, so you can review what matters without replaying the whole conversation.
Your notes can become a local reference library: organize them in Markdown, add attachments, and ask questions across them with answers that cite their sources. You can also convert digital PDFs into editable Markdown, translate notes or selected text, and listen to text read aloud. Core tools work on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, though some optional capabilities require Apple Silicon.
