Elmedia Video Player
Elmedia Video Player is a Mac media player for you if you watch videos or listen to audio in varied file formats without installing extra codecs.
by Eltima LLC
What you get
Watch your video files without hunting for extra codecs.
You can open video and audio files in formats such as MKV, AVI, MP4, FLAC, and MP3 without installing additional plugins or codecs. Hardware-accelerated playback helps keep HD video smooth while reducing the work your processor needs to do.
You can find subtitles from inside the player, adjust their timing when dialogue falls out of sync, and switch between audio tracks. Thumbnail previews help you find a particular scene, while adjustable playback speed lets you watch at your own pace. You can also keep your video visible above other apps and queue files into playlists.
When you want a bigger screen, you can send local media to supported Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, or DLNA devices, including subtitles. Free streaming is limited to five minutes. The paid PRO upgrade also gives you picture-in-picture viewing, picture and sound adjustments, and the option to repeat a selected passage.
