by PDF Technologies, Inc
What you get
You can play your video and audio files without hunting for codecs.
Filmage Player gives you one place to watch videos and listen to audio files on your Mac, including formats such as MKV, AVI, MP4, FLAC, and MP3. You can open HD and 4K movies without installing extra plug-ins or learning technical settings.
You can watch full screen, resize the player to fit your workspace, or keep it above other apps so your video stays visible while you work. When you need a particular moment, you can jump to a specific time, rewind, or fast-forward, with keyboard shortcuts for playback control.
You can also build playlists by adding and removing files, keeping what you want to play together in one queue. The player's own volume control lets you adjust your listening level from the playback window.
-
Fewer format obstacles
You can open many common and less familiar video and audio formats without installing additional codecs.
-
Keep videos in view
You can pin the player above other apps or resize it to leave room for your work.
-
Reach the right moment
You can jump to a timestamp, rewind, or fast-forward instead of watching from the beginning.
-
Queue your files
You can create playlists and manually add or remove videos and audio files.
Best for
- You have local media files in mixed formats
- You want to watch HD or 4K movies on your Mac
- You keep a video visible while using other apps
Skip it if
You don't need it if your current player already opens your files and gives you the playback controls you use.
