What you get
Show what happens on your screen in a shareable GIF.
Gifox lets you show a sequence of actions instead of explaining it through separate screenshots. You can record a selected screen area or a single app window and turn it into an animated GIF. That gives you a way to demonstrate a workflow, walk someone through a task, or show exactly how a bug appears.
You can keep the portion of the recording you want to loop, adjust the frame rate, and choose output quality and compression. This lets you balance how your GIF looks against how much space it takes up, rather than accepting one fixed export size.
Your finished GIFs are saved to Downloads, and you can find recent recordings in your Mac’s menu bar. From there, you can drag them where you need them or get a sharing link, with Dropbox, Google Drive, and Imgur available as sharing options.
-
Explain actions visually
You can show a task from start to finish in one animated GIF instead of sending several screenshots.
-
Focus on the relevant area
You can capture one app window or a selected screen region to keep attention on what matters.
-
Control the file size
You can adjust quality, frame rate, and compression to balance visual detail with a smaller GIF.
-

You can retrieve GIFs from the menu bar, drag them into place, or get a sharing link.
