What you get

You can bring your Mac’s screen, videos, and music to your Roku TV.

Mirror gives you two ways to put content from your Mac on a Roku TV: show your screen or play media files stored on your computer. You can use screen mirroring when you want what you see on your Mac to appear on the larger display.

If you have an attached monitor, you can choose which screen the TV shows. You can also send sound along with the mirrored picture, so your audio comes through the TV. You’ll need to follow the app’s instructions to enable that sound option.

For videos or music saved on your Mac, you can add files to a playlist and send them to your Roku device for playback. This gives you a separate route for watching or listening to local media without choosing screen mirroring.
