Smart Player
Smart Player gives you a Mac video player and library for watching local movies, TV shows, and home videos across common file formats.
by ShedWorx
What you get
Watch your videos, keep them organized, and return to where you stopped.
You can watch MOV, MP4, MKV, AVI, and other common video files on your Mac without converting them first. When you pause and come back later, you can continue from your saved position. You can also switch between the subtitle and audio tracks available in a video.
Your library separates movies, TV shows, and home videos, with home recordings grouped by date. You can import videos from external drives and USB storage, too. When you disconnect a drive, its videos disappear from the library until you reconnect it, so you only see files you can currently access.
If you want less manual upkeep, Premium lets you monitor a folder for new videos and add multiple files at once. It also gives you movie and TV artwork, descriptions, and manual searches for that information.
