What you get

You can check, control, and save music without leaving your current app.

SmashTunes lets you see what’s playing in Spotify or Apple Music while you work in another app. You can show the song title, artist, or album in your Mac’s menu bar and limit how much space those details occupy. If you prefer a desktop view, you can use the included widget to see album artwork and track information.

When you want to change the music, you can pause, skip, or return to the previous track from the menu bar. Customizable keyboard shortcuts let you do the same without reaching for your mouse. You can also add a song to your library or a playlist as you hear it, rather than opening the music app to save it.

If you use ListenBrainz, you can have your listening history recorded automatically, giving you a log of what you’ve played without entering tracks yourself.
