StyleBop
Your CSS, laid out visually
StyleBop is a visual CSS editor for you if you build or maintain websites and want to understand stylesheet structure, adjust shared values, and refine layouts without working only in code.
by Benjamin Dansby
What you get
You can understand and adjust your CSS without reading every line.
StyleBop gives you a visual way to work through your website’s CSS. You can arrange rulesets on a canvas and see descendant selectors beneath their parents, making stylesheet structure easier to follow without scrolling through the entire file. When you need precise text edits, you can return to code.
You can change shared CSS variables in one place, with updates applying wherever those variables are used. Color swatches help you identify color values, while visual controls let you adjust shadows, corner radii, and transition curves rather than repeatedly guessing numbers.
For layouts and motion, you can resize grid tracks by dragging, see which rules apply at different breakpoints, and edit keyframe steps as a visual sequence. You can also jump from an animation to the selectors that use it, so you spend less time tracing references when refining your styles.
-
Understand your stylesheet
You can see rulesets and descendant relationships on a canvas instead of keeping the structure in your head.
-
Update shared values once
You can edit CSS variables centrally and have those changes apply wherever the variables are used.
-
Refine layouts visually
You can drag grid tracks and inspect breakpoint-specific rules to understand how your responsive styles are organized.
-
Adjust motion with context
You can edit keyframe timing and values visually, then jump to the selectors using that animation.
Best for
- You maintain long or complex stylesheets
- You refine responsive CSS grids
- You build and tweak CSS animations
Skip it if
You probably don’t need it if you rarely edit CSS or prefer handling every stylesheet change in a text editor.

From the developer
StyleBop is a visual workspace for your CSS. Every ruleset becomes a draggable node on a canvas, so you can see how your stylesheet actually connects instead of scrolling a wall of text.Read the full description
