With TransNow, you can understand foreign-language material on your Mac whether it arrives as a text passage, a document, or a picture. You can type or paste text for translation, or translate Word documents, PDFs, and other supported files instead of copying their contents into a separate translator.
If the words are inside an image, you can upload it and have the text detected and extracted for translation. That means you can read a photographed sign or text embedded in a picture without manually typing unfamiliar words. You get these translation options in one app, so you have fewer tools to move between.
You can also keep translating without an internet connection when your chosen languages support offline use. This gives you a way to work through foreign-language reading or documents when you're disconnected, though offline access does not cover every language.
