What you get

See and record your iPhone or iPad on your Mac.

You get a larger view of your iPhone or iPad, with its sound playing through your Mac. Connect your device with a Lightning cable to show a presentation, read documents, browse photos, or watch YouTube without staying focused on a small screen. You don’t need to install another app on your phone or work through a configuration process.

You can record your device’s screen and audio alongside your voice, giving you a way to capture narrated demonstrations or gameplay. You can also take screenshots when a still image is enough. Recording has limits: some apps block it, and you cannot record phone calls, WhatsApp calls, or FaceTime calls.

You can mirror multiple devices at once, and the display adapts to portrait, landscape, or full-screen viewing. When you just want to listen, you can play your phone’s music through your Mac’s speakers.
