What you get

Keep files, music controls, and everyday tools within reach of your notch.

You get a drop zone at the top of your screen where you can leave files temporarily or keep frequently used ones close by. Drag them back out when you need them, or drag and drop to share through AirDrop.

You can also control music from your notch, with album artwork and animations that follow the beat. NotchBox supports Apple Music and Spotify directly, plus playback in Safari from YouTube Music, YouTube, Spotify, and Amazon Music.

For everyday tasks, you can retrieve recent clipboard entries, check your schedule, jot down notes, save bookmarks, or launch favorite apps. A built-in browser lets you look things up without switching windows, while Pomodoro sessions, countdowns, and a stopwatch help you structure work and breaks.

  • Keep files close

You can park files in your notch and pull them out later, rather than repeatedly navigating to them.

  • Share through AirDrop

You can send files through AirDrop using drag and drop.

  • Reach your music controls

You can control supported music playback from your notch and see album artwork there.

  • Recover recent copies

You can access recent clipboard entries when you need something you copied earlier.

  • Structure your work sessions

You can use a Pomodoro timer for work and breaks, or time activities with a countdown or stopwatch.

Best for

  • You frequently drag files between tasks
  • You want music controls near your workspace
  • You prefer quick tools in one place

Skip it if

You don’t need it if you’re happy using Finder, your music app, and separate utilities without a notch-based hub.
