What you get

Keep files within reach while you find their destination.

You get a temporary place to put files and draggable app content while you navigate to wherever they need to go. Instead of keeping a drag in progress as you switch windows, you can leave items on Yoink’s shelf, open the destination, and drag them out when you’re ready.

You can gather items one at a time or in batches, then move them together as a stack or split them apart. The shelf can appear when you start dragging or reach the screen edge, with a size and position you choose. You can also reveal a shelved file in Finder when you need to locate it.

Beyond dragging, you can recall up to 20 recently copied items through Yoink’s clipboard history. If you also install Yoink on your iPhone or iPad, you can transfer content between devices using a Handoff-compatible Mac.

    You can park items on the shelf while you open the folder or app where they belong.

  • Transfer items together

    You can collect multiple items into stacks, rearrange them, and drag them to a destination in one batch.

  • Find the original file

    You can reveal a shelved file in Finder without searching for its location yourself.

    You can retrieve up to 20 recently copied items rather than copying them again.
