What you get

You can act on selected text without opening a right-click menu.

PopClip gives you a quicker route from selecting text to doing something with it. A small menu appears beside your selection, so you can copy, cut, or paste without opening a right-click menu. You can also open a selected link or search the web for a phrase without copying it into a search box first.

When you’re reading or editing, you can check spelling, translate a passage, or count words without moving the text into a separate editor. You can change capitalization, add quotes or brackets, remove unwanted line breaks, and turn comma-separated text into separate lines. These actions help you prepare text for wherever you need to use it next.

You can add extensions for more translation services and actions in other apps. Some actions depend on app support—for example, highlighting is available through extensions in supported apps.
